4 Tips on washing your hair less

I use to be someone that had to wash my hair almost everyday, especially when I had long hair down to the middle of my back. Now for the past 5 years I have had short pixie like hair, which at the moment, is now a jawline length bob. I only wash my hair 2 times a week max. Normally during the weekend and some time in the of the week. It was pretty easy for me to go longer in between washes since it was so short when I first started. If you have longer hair it might take a little longer to transition to fewer washes but is doable.

START EXTENDING WASHES
If your someone who washes your hair every day, try to make the switch to every other day. As you extend the time between washes, your hair will slowly produce less and less oil as you are no longer stripping your strands of the natural oils your scalp produces. Wash your hair less and you’ll notice that you will be able to extend even longer between washes.
Here are a few tips that can help with the transition for washing less.
TIP #1: DRY SHAMPOO
Dry shampoo is great for days in between washes. You can also spray your roots before going to bed. Adding some dry shampoo to your hair at night before bed will help absorb oil sweat and odor while you’re sleeping, which is when your scalp produces the most oil.
TIP #2 APPLE CIDER VINEGAR
Mix ¼ cup of apple cider vinegar with 1 cup water. Work it through your roots and rinse well with warm water. ACV helps to restore the scalp’s PH levels and removes buildup without stripping them from its natural oils.
TIP #3 DISTRIBUTING OIL
Gently brush through your hair with a real boar-bristle brush which will distribute the natural oils from your scalp through the length of your hair. Start at the roots and use fluid strokes to help the oil travel down the shaft of your hair. This is helpful before going to bed too. This will make your morning easier (less bedhead and knots), but it will also prevent the buildup of oil on the scalp overnight. The oil will wash away from the roots when you shower, it will prevent the buildup that can cause you to need to wash more frequently, and it will naturally conditioned
TIP #4 SHAMPOO
Stick to a gentle shampoo, that’s free of silicones, sulfate and paraben’s. Also don’t forget to brush before lathering up.

The first few weeks of training your hair may take some getting used to.

Holy Grail Hair and Makeup Favorites of 2018

Too continue my Holy Grails of 2018 I made list of hair and makeup favorites that I really enjoyed and repurchased thought out 2018.

Holy Grail Hair and Makeup Favorites of 2018

NYX Epic Ink Liner NYX is insanely dark, pigmented formula that doesn’t flake or fade throughout the day for under $10. My go to liner.
Urban Decay HeatI bought the Urban Decay Heat palette during a black friday sale from ulta for 50% off. Normally $54 and I got it for $27. The colors are gorgeous colors and they blend so well. I can use this palette with no primer if I choose to.
Both Morphe  Jacklyn Hill Palette & 35M Boss Mood Artistry Palette are to die for. The colors are gorgeous and buttery. I have no need for primer when I use ether palette and the staying power is great. I don’t know which one is my favorite out of the two, it would have to be a tie. I almost got the Jacklyn Hill Vault Collection  instead of the Boss Mood Palette, but then I saw the color story of it in the store and decided for the price and how many shadows you get compared to the 4 and it’s almost the same color story. I thought it was a win win.
Pacifica’s Ultra CC Cream Radiant Foundation and Alight Multi-Mineral BB Cream Some days I like to use ether one when I want a no makeup makeup look. Both are very light and natural looking.I normally will use one of them on work days and need to be up at 5am, add some mascara and I’m ready to go. The bb cream is a little heaver then the cc cream, I tend to use when I work earlier than normal and have to be up at 4am. Who has time that early to do makeup? Not me.
Maybelline TattooStudio Waterproof Eyebrow Gel This is a game changer. At first I hated it. The spoolie is too big and makes a mess. Then I tired it with a tiny/small angle brush, and I love it! The gel does stay on for about 2-3 if you don’t scrub at your eyebrows, when washing your face. Normally by day 3 I just fill in a tiny bit and I’m good to go, then later that night i will wash it off complete with hardly any effort.
P Quicke Me Light  Dry Shampoo. I picked up the light one for blondes and pastel hair because I have light pinkish color at the moment. It works really well at soaking up any oil I might have in my hair and makes it look so fresh.
Puff Me Up Light  is one of my favorites to use to add volume to my hair. A couple of puffs  in my hair and we have some big hair.
GlowSpin : Premium Facial Cleansing System I have been loving this Spin Brush. It came with 3 brush heads- daily cleansing facial brush, exfoliating facial brush, and silicone facial brush and 2 settings a lower speed for a gentle, everyday cleanse, or a higher speed for deeper exfoliation. My skin has been looking great since I have been using it.
Overtone I bought the Plumberry Kit with the extreme pink and vibrant purple. I think my favorite part of coloring your hair a fun color is the fade out. Basically Overtone is a conditioning treatment with color and extra-hydrating ingredients. The colors lasts forever me.
